I switched over to the cutline theme…
Written by Matt Moran on December 11, 2006 – 1:42 pm -I’ve got a lot on my plate and really need to get serious about the direction of my writing and time I spend managing the various online endeavors I get involved in. My goal is to use this, my personal blog, for both professionally directed post, links to articles or other information I find on the web, and personal insight and blatherings.
To simplify things, I decided that all of the content I have to put online should, where possible, use the same underlying technology.
I really like the Cutline theme by Chris Pearson (http://www.pearsonified.com/themes/). It is easy to modify (I don’t really want to dig too deeply in to PHP - nothing personal, it’s just that I am already using my 34 hours each day.
West Clear Creek![]()

The day after Thanksgiving, we went to West Clear Creek - just East of Camp Verde. This is a place I’ve wanted to hike for quite some time. Jess and I took off at 7:40am and met up with Laura and some friends of ours on the way back (around 12:30), turned around and hiked back up for about 2 more hours.
Here are a couple of additional pictures from that hike.
Red Rock Country - We found a place to cross the river and get up
on the cliffs. Just below the kids is a nice pool.

Down river at the first water crossing. The dogs kept getting sucked between the rocks - Jess was mad at me because I was laughing at them. This picture is blurry because just before this, Laura and I fell into the river when a bridge I made broke beneath us - dousing the camera.

Our friend John kept commenting on how “clear” the water was! He is right, it was pretty amazing but we kept laughing…“West Clear Creek!”
