Lunar Eclipse over Anthem, Arizona
Written by Matt Moran on August 28, 2007 – 1:15 pm -I set my alarm last night for 2:35am - so I could watch the eclipse. Jessica woke up to take a look too.
Using the camera feature of my DV Camcorder, I took these images. This is a progression from partial to total eclipse.

Catamaran or Catamoran - skateboarding video…
Written by Matt Moran on August 26, 2007 – 1:35 pm -Years ago when we first moved into a house in the San Fernando Valley, one of the neighbors commented that their first introduction to me was seeing me go down the street with my son on our skateboards, catamaran style.
My 19 year old son was visiting from California with his skateboards in tow. We decided to take my 8 year old daughter - his sister - for a ride. The video was shot from my camera phone, so it is a bit grainy. I’ve sized it to the 176X144 size of the original video. She loved it!!!
We had just returned from a hike, read on to see what else we saw…

Mud House - Fire, Flood, and Mud - images of our former home…
Written by Matt Moran on August 6, 2007 – 8:11 pm -If you’ve followed my professional development blog, Notes From The Toolshed, you read that in two short weeks, we had a hot-water heater valve blow, our house catch on fire - the result of a plumber installing a new pressure regulator, and then the storm and subsequent flood that left our home full of mud - destroying guitars, furniture, and other belongings.
Read my original timeline of events leading up to and during the storm.
All Press is Good Press….right-
When Sara, my eight year old took a look at the house, she grabbed mud from inside the front door and smeared the words, “mud house beware” across the front wall. The name stuck, literally and figuratively. Here is a picture of me in front of “mud house”
