I was going to say it’s been a busy week - really, it has been a busy month or two, or five.  There are a lot of changes going on in my life and I am pretty excited about them.

First, we moved - simplified by circumstance.

Next, my music has gathered some steam - and I finally created a music profile on myspace - it is so 2006 but good enough for the time being.  I commented to someone that there are a few people who show up to see me play - and I don’t really know them - I think those are called fans!  It is actually pretty humbling, I don’t take it lightly that they like my songs well enough to come out.  Thanks!

I am re-recording South To Mexico and going to get some help on Mandolin and a Spanish lead guitar.  I have some other songs I started recording this past week - and hope to finish them in the next week or so.  I am looking to start gigging more seriously now.  The challenge is finding places where original music is “allowed” - most people booking talent in bars are looking for the old standards (Buffett, Eagles, James Taylor, etc.) which is cool - but I really want to focus on developing my music.

The second challenge is that my music is not bar music - it is coffeehouse, easy-listening music - I think…

I’ve blogged over at IT Toolbox for the past several years and it has been great.  However, my current interest and focus have gone so far afield of technology careers and related business that I am unsure where I fit in their blogroll.  In fairness to them and my readers there, I should figure out my plans and let them know.

I am waiting on Cisco Press to come back to me with their plans for releasing my book online - free content.  Mary Beth (my editor) and I discussed it last week.  They had a meeting and are just deciding on format.  It’s been a long road - large corporations move slower than I do - that’s probably why they are big corporations.

I’ve updated my speaking pages, adding summaries of my canned presentations, and some sample videos of me speaking.  Time permitting, I will pick through more video samples and get them up there.
