As I progress as an artist and as we progress as a band, we need banners, posters, merchandise, PR, etc. All of these expenses, along with life and living, can be a challenge for the indie artist. We don’t have a record company bank-rolling our activities.
In light of that, we are looking for individuals/companies who might have an interest in sponsoring some of what we do. Logo placement, branding, website mention/links, and undying gratitude are all on the table. In fact, I can also provide FREE workshops for sponsoring organizations.
Basically, our requirements are that you are NOT bilking consumers out of their life savings, poisoning the environment, selling arms to terrorist, using domestic or foreign slave labor, or are a Detroit Red Wings fan. Okay, we’ll accept Red Wings fans – as long as they are not involved in the above activities.
For this – above the branding, placement, and the sheer joy you will get in supporting the arts, we will work hard to be entertaining and ensure your faith and support is well-placed*.
* We talked about offering our souls but found that they had already been taken by the music.
Where Does Sponsorship Money Go?
That’s really up to the sponsor but a short-list would include:
- Gear (PA, mics, stands, strings, cables, cabinets, etc.)
- Merchandise (so we can buy quality in quantity)
- PR/Marketing (ads, graphical elements, photography, etc.)
- Transportation (fully-equipped tour bus with driver – okay, not needed yet but how about a Van, tour/gigging expenses/fuel)
- …etc.
