Singer/songwriter Matthew Moran recently appeared at our monthly Songwriters’ Showcase here in Westminster, California. I must say that the experience, expertise, and – I’ll say it – professionalism that he discusses in his songwriting lectures came through wonderfully when he was on stage performing. One man, one acoustic guitar, and he had them in the palm of his hand. Matthew performed two songs from his first CD, “Girls, Songs, and Other Delusions”, and two songs from his current CD-in-progress. In between the songs were interesting and funny stories about the ups and downs of creating music – particularly the tug-of-war between an independent musician’s acoustic leanings and a producer’s rock’n’roll fantasies… especially when they’re the same guy! If you catch wind of Matthew giving a performance or a lecture near you, I highly recommend that you check him out. You won’t regret it"
